Down the stairs, second left, third right, pass the shops, you can’t miss it.

IN A PERFECT WORLD WHERE LOGICALLY-ORGANISED EXHIBITIONS ARE DISPLAYED IN PURPOSE-DESIGNED BUILDINGS, FINDING YOUR WAY AROUND WOULD REQUIRE MINIMAL EFFORT. IT MIGHT JUST TAKE A LITTLE SIGNAGE. BUT THAT’S IN A PERFECT WORLD.

SIMPLE, CLEAR WAYFINDING for complex buildings and campus sites is a must. Especially in The National Museums of Ireland where different Collections share the same physical space and that space is antiquated and complex. An expert level navigation challenge for any visitor.

The various Collections are housed in 4 architecturally distinct buildings and in four separate locations. Three in Dublin – Kildare Street, Merrion Street and Collins Barracks on Benburb Street. One at Turlough Park near Castlebar in County Mayo.

Each location presents a very different wayfinding challenge – finding your way through a converted Cavalry Barracks, a Victorian Cabinet Museum and a purpose-built contemporary exhibition space.
